ANNOUNCEMENTS

Welcome to the new Web page of St. Paul's Sustainability Committee!  We will use this page to share news about our ministries, ongoing and special activities.

SUSTAINABILITY FLYER

The Sustainability Committee has created a flyer to show a five-year summary of our many accomplishments. It will be enclosed with all bulletins on April 27.

ONGOING RECYCLING EFFORTS AT THE CHURCH

You can help protect our environment every Sunday by bringing your small electronic/computer waste to deposit in our Green Disc TechnoTrash Can. The white cardboard “can” is conveniently located in Dixon House just inside the entrance to the library. Here’s a list of the items you can drop off:

  • All forms of electronic media and their cases: diskettes, zip disks, CDs, CD-Rs, CD-RWs, DVDs et al, video tape, audio tape, game cartridges, DAT, DLT and virtually all other type of computer tapes.
  • Hard drives, Zip and Jaz drives, jump drives, etc.
  • All forms of printer and toner cartridges.
  • All types of cell phones, pagers, PDAs and their chargers, cables, and headset accessories
  • All types of rechargeable batteries (not regular alkaline ones) and their chargers
  • All of the small computer accessories such as MP3 players, iPods, digital cameras, hand-held scanners, handheld games and other connected devices
  • All of the cords, cables, boards, chips, etc. attached to or removed from a computer.
  • Laptop computers

Used inkjet cartridges should be placed in the separate box beside the TechnoTrash Can which is marked specifically for that purpose. Little plastic bags are also available on the bulletin board above the box for you to transport the cartridges from home to church, if you like.

HAZARDOUS HOUSEHOLD WASTE RECYCLING

Large electronic items such as computer CPU’s, monitors, printers, scanners, fax machines etc. can be dropped off at any STAPLES store for a charge of $10.00 per item (no charge for keyboards or mice). Please note that STAPLES does not accept televisions, radios or stereo equipment. Here is a link to their Website containing details:
