GOALS for JULY 2007 -- JUNE 2008 PLEDGE YEAR
EVERY MEMBER PLEDGING Stewardship – caring for God’s creation – is all about giving. Jesus never talks about the church’s need to receive. Jesus always talks about the giver’s need to give. Giving of your time, talent and treasure in service to and celebration of God is fundamental to a Christian life. All that you have, all that you are, is a blessing from God. Show your gratitude by giving back to God in meaningful measure some of what God has given you. St. Paul’s 2007-2008 pledge campaign is underway. We hope every member of St. Paul’s family will make a pledge this year. Last year 277 parishioners and families pledged approximately $525,000 to St. Paul’s. This year, we aim to have every household pledge and to increase total pledges to $560,000 to meet St. Paul’s needs in the next twelve months. Every pledge is important. If you haven't returned your pledge form yet, please do soon. >> Progress Report: As of June 14, 2007, 236 parish households have pledged $483,167. << Your Stewardship Committee’s goals, however, extend beyond this annual pledge drive. Stewardship education and discussion should continue through the year, and be part of the fabric of our parish. That is our aim. Look for ongoing stewardship activities year round. Libba Affel, Wilson Brown, Dean Ennis, Tim Greenwood, Mary Lou Parry, James Pope, George Reath, Prudence Runyan, and Margaret Stewart serve on the Stewardship Committee.
