Thank you stewards!

By Ian Howell , 1:33 pm

Christian stewards in today’s world have no easy task.  It is akin to swimming upstream.  An old axiom puts our stewardship mission in perspective: “Only dead fish swim with the current.”  We live in a materialistic world.  Of this there is little doubt.  The point of Christian stewardship is not to repay God or our church what we owe.  The point of Christian stewardship is to share what God has

given us.  When we share God’s bounty, we live up to the promise of scripture.  Thank you stewards for your willingness to go against the materialist current and to share cheerfully of God’s bounty.  (meditations by David Mosser)
