An interfaith conference, “Israel, Palestine, and the USA: What’s happening over there…What does it mean to me…What can/should I do about it?” will be held on Sunday, March 25, from 1:00-5:30 p.m. at the Church of St. Martin-in-the-Fields, 8000 St. Martins Lane, Chestnut Hill, Philadelphia. The conference is co-sponsored by St. Martins and Christian-Jewish Allies, a Philadelphia-based interfaith group that meets at Saint Paul’s. Speaking at the opening session will Mark Braverman, author of the acclaimed book Fatal Embrace: Christians, Jews, and the Search for Peace in the Holy Land and others with direct experience from visits and residence in the West Bank. Also participating will be Susanne Hoder, from the United Methodist Church New England Conference, a member of the United Methodist Kairos Response Group. The program is designed to serve both newcomers to the topic and those who are already familiar with the issues; each participant will receive a copy of the 48-page study guide and 120-minute documentary DVD “Steadfast Hope”. Registration is $15 prior to March 20 or $20 at the door. For more information visit www.stmartinec.org or contact the Rev.
