For stewards the perspective of God’s purpose reminds us that as we live out our faith, the small kindnesses we show others are part of the reason “we live and move and have our being” (Acts 17: 28). God created us for community. In community we do not extend comfort to others for the good we will receive in return. Rather, we offer to comfort others, for this is the way God intended people to live. (meditations by David Mosser)
