Coping with Loss at the Holidays, Dec 10 (register by Dec 7)

By Ian Howell , 11:33 am

Professional grief counselor Kathy Corbett, MS, CT, will host Coping with Loss at the Holidays, an afternoon of hope and healing for those who are hurting at this time of year, on Saturday, Dec. 10, from 2-5 pm at Saint Paul’s. Designed to nurture the bereaved, this program will include practices of healthy self-care, inspirational readings, and guidance in the creation of a personally meaningful ritual of remembrance to take home.  Kathy says, “Loss is an inherent part of the human condition and knows no boundaries.”  Kathy has been providing bereavement support as part of Saint Paul’s pastoral care ministry since 2003.  Under her leadership, the church has hosted a 6-week program Loss & Grief: A Spiritual Journey annually since 2008.  Earlier this year, she facilitated a new group, Loss of the Ground-Note, for women whose mothers had died. Coping with Loss at the Holidays is open to the community, but pre-registration is required.  Please call Kathy Corbett at 215-248-7441 by Dec. 7 to register.
