February 11, 2007 - Speaker - The Rev. Dr. Gordon Lathrop “Open Doors, Strong Core ” Gordon Lathrop is a retired professor at Mt. Airy's Lutheran Theological Seminary at Philadelphia. During his more than two decades as our neighbor, he has often preached or led educational programs at St. Paul's. On December 10, 2000, he became the first Lutheran pastor to celebrate the Eucharist in a diocese of Pennsylvania parish. That historic event took place at St. Paul's three weeks before Call to Common Mission, the document establishing full communion between the Episcopal Church and the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America, offically took effect.
